With the wide application of network data processing in embedded system, there are more requirements of embedded systems which the high processing of network data demands, and the way of processing network data based on single processor can't satisfy that requirements. For that, the thesis proposes a solution using multiprocessors based on SOPC.Based on the deep research of SOPC technology, NiosII processor, network protocol stack, aiming at the shortage of implementing current network security protocol with the single processor, this thesis designs the multiprocessors, multi-computers and mixed multiprocessors model based on the NiosII. By analysing and contrasting, the thesis researches on the system's function in the mixed model, and designs the scheme of extended tight-coupled multiprocessors based on the NiosII.Given a typical example of bi-NiosII, the scheme makes every CPU optimize the special task, by dividing the task. On the process of the implementation of network protocol, the network protocol processing method combining of hardware and software is adopted, and the method of gradual implementation is introduced in the system. On the process of optimal implementation of Cryptographic algorithm, the thesis researches on the extended instruction set based on Cryptographic algorithms, and implements the AES Cryptographic algorithms. The implementation of bi-NiosII system provides the theoretical and experimental foundation for enhancement of chip-scale integration for multiprocessor systems and its performance. Experiments indicate that the performance of the network protocol processing scheme improved increases 15-19 times, and the implementation performance of encryption algorithm based on the expanded instruction increases 7-14 times, meanwhile the overall system performance increases by more than 5 times. The reslut shows that the study of the thesis meets the requirement of resources, performance, flexibility and so on, in the system.
