Research And Implementation Of Software As A Service Model

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a new generation of architecture ideology applying for distributed software development. SOA has solved the problems of applications for flexibility and interconnectivity wonderfully because of its features of loose coupling, independent of platform etc. SOA will be applied widely as an efficient solution to Enterprise Application Integration and new system architecture.Software as a service (SaaS) is a new pattern to release the software. The core of this pattern is hosting the software as services. Tenants could take an experience through the provider's website, buy these services and use them online if they could meet the users' needs. This pattern make the users do not need focus on the system infrastructure, application management, monitoring, maintaining and disaster comeback. Thereby it was welcomed.Recently, software as a service is still a new thing and has a long time accepted by the users. But it still has a great potential as its characteristics.This paper mainly did a research on the pattern of software as a service and service-oriented architecture. A four-level maturity meta- data system based on this pattern was designed and implemented after analyzing the four levels mature models. The author's contributions are as follows:(1) Made a compare between the pattern of SaaS and ASP.(2) Designed and implemented the scalable data model, roles management mechanism, page configuration mechanism and business objects automatic generation through the meta-data system.
