As a kind of common, formal language in traditional engineering, for a long time, the work of three two-dimensional orthographic views analysis, reading and drawing have being recognized manually. This actuality doesn't keep up with the development of new CAD/CAM technology. So research on automatic reading views and 3D model intelligent reconstruction based on 2D engineering drawing becomes very important. After many years research, many kinds of arithmetics have been proposed which have respective characteristic, but the application of these methods remain to be an unresolved problem and need to lucubrate.Contrastively discussing the usual presentation of 3D model and researching the past many primary algorithms, such as wireframe-oriented approch and model-oriented approach, this paper chooses to use the model-oriented approach which bases on CSG to realize the reconstruction work. By information extraction and Pre-processing of the 2D views, this paper realizes the view partition of three-dimensional and coordinate conversion. According to the practice, this paper divides the process into three parts: information identification, character matching, elementary solid creation and solid combination. According to characteristic and detail of each parts, based the CSG model theory, this paper take the DXF files as the input format, combining the AutoCAD application development to realize the graphic information automatic identification. In this process, after using the CAD database technology to deal with the information, then take up the character matching, according to the actual condition of the entities make up the moore operation to get the final entities.In order to prove the aproach and the new project of 3D reconstrution, a sotfware system is developed, which takes AutoCAD as the graphics interface, using ObjectARX function second development technology. Then certain elementary tests about some practice samples have been carried out. The result indicates that this project is feasible in solving basic entities reconstruction such as column, cuboid and their combination reconstruction.
