In wireless communication ,it is harmful when image transmission channel burst appear error . It is possible arise several error when image transmission, and there will be packet miss or synchronization loss while the error appear in the important position after been received by decoder. The image coding with error tolerance become more and more important for reduce the influence by error bit. The research about error tolerance system is to enhance the system robust, and the image coding system will go on even exist some error bits.This scheme is based on Remote Sensing image satellite compression for hardware implement ,and focus on the large amounts of data, the weaker relativity of spatial, higher information entropy, complex and richness texture. Based on the design scheme, this paper analyzes the error tolerance method used in JPEG2000 standard and the method based on wavelet transformation. The image information is dealt by different error tolerance ways according to frequency information after wavelet transform and entropy coding. The important package head in the data stream and the LL sub-band are dealt by rectification coding. The rest of data can be dealt by the check coding. The scheme gives full consideration to the characteristics of remote sensing image, the low frequency information is protected strictly. This method can ensure important data accuracy, while trying not to increase too much data.The top-down design method is used in this hardware implement plan. I analyze the Remote Sensing image error tolerance system scheme, and the achievement of various modules division, and to optimize the hardware to achieve a complete and final revision of the various sub-modules. The scheme is designed with VerilogHDL, used the Quartus II platforms of Altera Co. to complete design entry, compile, simulation, and verified with Modelsim finally. In the end ,scheme gain the actual verification by system simulation and download to the development board.
