In recent years, with the rapid development of remote sensing technology the resolution of remote sensing images improve continuously, and the capacity of data are becoming larger.In order to transmit the remote sensing image data without a significant increasement of satellite channels'bandwidth, it must be effectively compressed.A good image compression coding method can guarantee that remote sensing images are transmitted more quickly and more effectively.On the other hand, remote sensing images will be subjected to the impact of channel noise inevitablely when it is transmitted in the satellite channel, so that it leads to the reconstructed image quality of the receiving end being reduced.Therefore, improving the transmission reliability of remote sensing images is one of the focus of the study of remote sensing technology currently.Compression coding techniques and anti-error techniques of the remote sensing image are reasearched in this article.Main contents of this article include the following aspects:First of all, it has been analyzed bit stream business is more applicable to remote sensing image transmission system by comparing the eight kinds of business type of the recommendition of AOS synthesized.Secondly, a basic model of remote sensing image transmission was designed by studying the wavelet transform theory and image lossless compression coding theory.Using the model, it not only confirms the resolution of encoding and decoding program can be graded which are based on wavelet transformming, but also obtains the relations between error rate, error location and peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)when the remote-sensing image was transmitted:greater the error rate is, the lower the PSNR of image is. When the error position is in low frequency, the PSNR of image is lower than it is in high frequency.On this basis, the concept of error-tolerant range of the remote sensing images has been given, and it is facilitated the research and design of compression coding system of remote sensing image.Thirdly, aimed at the correlation in image sub-band coefficients which has been wavelet transformed and the error-dependence in stream transmitted, it is designed hierarchical coding model and the sub-block coding model which both are suitable to transmit for remote sensing image in this paper. It is discovered after the performance analysis and experimental simulation about the two kinds of compression coding system that hierarchical coding model is applicable to the overall analysis of remote sensing image while sub-block coding model is applicable to local comparative analysis of remote sensing images, and the error-tolerant range of sub-block coding model is broader than hierarchical coding model's.Finally, in this paper, taking the dependence in stream when the remote sensing image is transmitted into account ,error conceal is carried out for the remote sensing image in the receiving end.Through the introduction of the error conceal technology in sub-block coding system model, system error of resistance has been raised, error-tolerant range was increased, and the reconstructed image quality is improved.
