| Many applications appear with the fast development of embedded technology and multimedia technology combining. The need and the requirement are more and more exigent and strict for the knowledge about embedded technology and multimedia technology. With development of embedded software and hardware it provides conveniences for multimedia technology to be used in embedded system. At the same time, a wonderful GUI, making user exchange information with machine well, has become an important need for the development of embedded technology. A series of products which are adapt to embedded system must have a good future, for example, the field of video surveillance system, video meeting system, video streaming media processing system, net video, graphics and image processing, and so on.Basing on the background mentioned above, the Embedded Multimedia Teaching Experimental System is designed in order to make undergraduate deeply understand more theories about the embedded Linux OS and multimedia technology. The design of the system is based on ARM+Linux, and the processor is S3C2410. OS is the miziLinux customized by MIZI Company for S3C2410. The solving project of the system which is based on MiniGUI Client/server is designed after analyzing the characteristics of embedded Linux and embedded GUI, and the frame of C/S and the realization of server program which maintains main window of GUI are also emphasized. And then, the realization of the Client, multimedia technology being used embedded system, is analyzed. In the end, the experience is summarized during the developing system.The successful design forms a base for embedded system studying and the using of multimedia technology in embedded system, and provides reference for other embedded products developing. |
