Laser marking is a new laser material processing technology developing fast in recent years. Laser marking is used broadly in stead of mechanical marking, stamping, printing and chemical erosion for its unique characters. As a response to the speed, high marking quality, enclosed beam and environment adaptable advantage, galvanometer-based optical scanners laser marking machines is becoming the mainstream and the develop direction of laser marking machines.Marking speed and precision are the most important indicators of galvanometer-based laser marking system. I advanced a brand new solution for galvanometer-based laser marking system that based on double-channels D/A outputs sound card in this study. The advantages of this solution are simple, small size, low cost price. The system was confirmed could be applied to controlling galvanometer-based laser marking system through simulation and field experiments.My study also focuses on algorithms involved in galvanometer-based optical scanners laser marking system, such as line generators and distortion corrections. The "EquiDistanceLine" algorithm meets the needs of marking speed homogeneous well. The inherent distortion correction formula I got in this study was proven to ensure markings accuracy better than 0.01mm. This EPS& soundcard-based laser marking galvanometer system has the advantages of better interoperability and expansionary. In another way, the performance / price advantage of this marking system is obviously for low cost of sound card. The advances of this solutions allowed it has a better practical significance and economic value compares other marking solutions.
