Against the characteristics of beer bottles and actual production needs,this paper proposed a set of automatic detection system.1. The purpose of bottle detection systemChina is the top brewer of the word.And beer industry plays an important role in the development of national economy. However ,the technology level of our brewhouses'equipments lags behind abroad,and great disparity exits in bottled. To measure up with the requests,beer bottle must be washed and inspected before being bottled.Traditional inspection mood was to inspect by human using lighting,but its precision and speed is difficult meet our needs.Bottle visual inspection system using optics technology,CCD technology, DSP and CPLD tehnology and image processing technology can inspect empty beer bottle without any touch. It was provided with the advantage of high speed ang high precison.Moreover it can overcome the disadvantage of human's eyes and improve greatly production efficiency and automation degree.To inspect beer bottle on assembly line,the inspection system must becapaple of processing vision image in real-time.Digital Signal Processor is able to match this damand well.2. Hardware architecture of the Glass containers Detection SystemThe imaging processing system mainly consisted of DSP and CPLD.It is programmable and of hight caculation speed.3. Bottle Detection System Image processingAn empty bottle image processing system was designed,focusing on the characteristics of beer bottle inspection and the actual requirements of production. The processing was divided into three steps:firstly digital images of glass container collected by using CCD camera,sencondly the obtained digital images was treated by means of processing system and finally recognized.Aimed at solving the key problem in beer industry an image detection system based on DSP was proposed.This is not same to old way.4. Main results availableThis paper expatiates on some digital image processing technologies that the inspecting system may apply to the research and analysis of the collected glass-crack. Image.protract the historgram of the gray image , get a binary image,and detect the image edge.using neighborhood average method and median filter retrains the image noises and make the image edge smooth..Median filter was used in image processing which has better performance than commonly used orthers. The edge detection was in the digital imaga processing important content.This article first has made the summary and the analysis to image edge examination each algorithm the operator. The conclusion was that Roberts was better than others. Because it was clearl and easy to DSP.The inspection system of empty beer bottle based on DSP can be used in another system when changed some algorithms. For exiple:the license plate recognition system,the finger print indentification system.
