The earthquake forecast is a "new" domain with glorious history. Early in the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th, scientists started to discuss subject about earthquake forecast when seismography just appeared as a modern science. Until now the earthquake forecast still has not been solved as a scientific difficult problem. The earthquake forecast which mainly detects earthquake omen will make the forecast to future earthquake based on earthquake omen analysis. Earthquake will occur while geosound appears and the epicenter is not far away from geosound observation point. People have enough time to make the accurate earthquake forecast and to take the corresponding urgent measures. This is why scientists in domestic and foreign countries have had extensive research on geosound as a important earthquake omen among many earthquakes omens. The research on geosound is highly significant for earthquake forecast.Author elaborated research purpose and significance as well as present development situation in the world about this subject in this article at first. Structure and the function of geosound detecting system in which the geosound signals was gathered using triaxial acoustic emission probe have been analyzed briefly. Considering these characteristics based on the GPRS data transmission technology, for example, broad covering area ,quick data transmission speed , big capacity, low the system construction cost of connecting Internet automatically, convenient maintenance, simple and quick promotion and so on, data wireless transmission terminal has been designed. Thus geosound detecting system was realized. In this article, author proposed overall design plan and the block diagram and elaborated the hardware and software of detecting terminal and the data analysis system design of geosound according to practical need for geosound data acquisition. Chip microcomputer MSP430F449 is the core of hardware. The hardware design and the solution of the monitor terminal were discussed concerning work principle of sensors, the design recuperated module of signal, design of data acquisition and processing module and design of GPRS communication module etc. In addition, the software design thought of monitoring terminal and design of main flow process diagram as well as design of flow process diagram of periphery module in the software aspect was elaborated. The geosound data will be transmitted to data processing center in real-time accurately through the GPRS network and the Internet network. This is one part of contents of key experiments in the process of paper completed by author. Terminal communication of data acquisition, long-distance data gathering and the preservation and processing have been realized by the geosound data analysis software with friendly man-machine interface and database procedure based on VB6.0 programming.The experiment results of laboratory indicates that the geosound data detecting system of the paper is reliable and stable and has realized geosound data real-time gathering and the transmission. So it can provide accurate reference for decision-making decided by the relevant departments. It is highly significant in practical for technology advancement of earthquake accurate forecast.
