Along with the establish of the market economy and the competition of the media, the TV stations in China have gone through a process which began to be public utilities, then turned into pre-commercial utilities, and now, they are commercial utilities. Now, TV stations in China are forced to be the principal part of the media competition, taking all kinds of strategies to win the game. During this process, nearly all the TV stations experienced a course of reformation of the management. They have undertook multifarious means., such as the "contract system", the "inside corporate system", the "collectivize", the "orientation", the "marketing" and so on. In this course, some TV station, for example, the Hunan TV station obtained a great expands. But more stations didn't meet with their satisfaction. With this background, this thesis begins with the background and history of the reformation to summarize this course. The thesis will analyze three typical cases, which are Guizhou TV station, Hunan TV station and Sichuan TV station, to make it clear. Then, the thesis will discuss the status and embarrassment, which the TV stations are facing with.TV management has developed very well in the foreign country. In the past one century, many countries have developed different modes of TV management, and academic world has discussed the advantages and disadvantages of every mode. Among these, there are many countries faced with the same problem as China. So we can use these experiences for reference. This thesis also wants to seek a tried and true method for Chinese TV station.
