Investigative reporting is one type of deep reportings. While the reporters invest the group or person who infriges public benefits independently, the television promulgates the truth to the public with sound and picture. Firstly raised in the U.S.A between 19th and 20th century, and blossomed in the wholeWest since 1960s, investigative reporting spreaded to China in 1980s. It demonstrates special penetriability and force after its emergence in China, and instantly became one of widely used reporting methods.Making use of precessors' advantages, this dissertation tries to define the conception investive reporting more scientifically ,master its history precisely, then do comparative study between home and abroad , and among home,probe the characteristics of sinotype investigative reporting .The dissertation is about to engage in a case-study on one typical sinotype investigative reporting—news investigation .The dissertation is divied into four parts.Part one is the introduction which introduces the purpose and meaning of this study, figures out the innovatations, poins out the studying mothods by introducing the predecessors' achievements in this sphere.Part two is to make a survey on the concept of investigative reporting in both China and Western countries at first; then it comes the scientifically concept. In the end of this part, compared with Television documentary film,it comes the general characteristics and models of TV Investigative reporting.Part three is to retropect the road that tv investigative reporting has covered in China ,work out three sections in its development ,tell the differences between 60 minnutes and news investigation,analyse the actuality the investigative reporting faces in China.Meanwhile point out some actual problems that exist in this sphere.Part four is to engage in a case-study ,analyse news investigation with the narrating study methods,sum up the characheristics of news investigation and narrative strategies from narrative angle and way, then analyse why the news investigation became the model of sinotype investigative reporting in China.
