It is an important method to monitor the rotating machinery for reducing the time and the cost of device maintenance, increasing the efficiency of equipment. The portable vibration analyzer is the important device for monitoring the rotating machinery and is widely used in kinds of fields, such as chemical, electric power and metallurgy. The thesis narrates the development trend of the portable monitoring analyzer. According to the new requirement of the monitoring of Rotating machinery in the modern enterprises, we design and implement a new portable vibration analyzer based on embedded system.The analyzer chooses an ARM-based software and hardware development platform and designs with the embedded system hardware and software design method. The system includes the modules of gathering data, analyzing real time spectrum, redisplaying data, communication and storing. This instrument is the important device to assess the degree of vibration, to look for the trouble and to insure the machine safe for the repairer.The analyzer has the following functions:①Have complete signal acquisition and processing mechanisms;②Be able to accurately conduct waveform and spectrum chart shows;③Re-display data rapidly;④With a flexible system setup characteristics;⑤Stable data communications.The result shows that the analyzer is an important value of application development and promotion.Research and development is as follows:①Design, test and weld circuit board;②Bottom hardware drivers and data analysis procedures;③Testing the entire system;④Research Vibration fault diagnosis.The hardware design is cooperated with the software during the system design. It uses maximum the effective resource, reduces the design time. The hardware development is based on the EDA and IC technology, and it increases the programming agility, reduces the system cost and power dissipation, and enhances the system reliability and security. The software design is process-oriented, and the module programming can shorten the developing time and enhances its maintainability, practicability. With the method of system testing, the analyzer design achieves prospective requirement by debugging and testing system.
