As an important part of university teaching experiment innovation, self-made teaching equipment promotes the process of teaching content and methods as well as the fulfillment of scientific research. Meanwhile it also works as an important index which shows the university teaching quality. At present, many universities are active in experiment and research in this way.Because of the importance of self-made teaching equipment, China University of Petroleum also pays attention on the research accordingly. This paper designs assistant teaching equipment of intelligent instrument and liquid hold up measuring equipment of gas-liquid two-phase flow combined with the teaching practice of automation instrument.Based on the actual teaching demands, assistant teaching equipment should have the ability that can show the exact inner structure principle of instrument and the transfer process of signal. It will help the students understand the theory and improve their experiment ability so as to enhance the teaching quality. The designs of soft ware and hard ware are all made in modularization and designed separately. Increase interface among intermediate variables and design clear and convenient demo panel which overcomes the disadvantage that the existing automation instrument cannot help students understand the inner working principle of instrument. By this way, university experiment teaching reality and assistant teaching method have been improved. Liquid hold up measuring equipment is designed based on conductance measuring method and realizes signal process circuit of gas-liquid two-phase flow which is also designed in modularization. By simulation and debugging of the circuit, this equipment has reached the previous requirements and offered help for measuring and teaching of Liquid hold up of multi-phase flow.
