As the rapid modernization progressing of Pubic Security in China, thetechnology of multi-tiered distribution system development is becoming the primarychoice, and also the fault-tolerance and load-balancing capability are needed.Multi-tiered Distributed applications are superior in performance, cost, reliability andmaintainability compared to traditional Client/Server mode, and presently it has beenthe primary choice for enterprise development.First this paper discussed the background and design principle of the project, thenthe essential concept and technology of Multi-tiered Distributed development. Nextthis paper analyzed the principle, structure and technology of Borland'sDataSnap/MIDAS, and it's support for fault-tolerance and load-balancing capability.Finally this paper discussed the design of High Stability Large Scale Data Queryand Analysis System for Police Usage, and then designed the database layer,application server layer and client layer, and implemented the whole project, thendiscussed the fault-tolerance and load-balance design, and bring forward the futurejobs for this project.
