This paper use quasi three-level laser transition of Nd:YAG crystal got473nm blue laser by frequency doubling technology. The theory of quasithree-level laser transition was analyzed in this paper. We used the stablerate equation to deduce the relationship of transmission loss and optimumcrystal length when start-oscillation at 946nm. And we presented therelations of laser threshold and optimum crystal length when transmissionloss was different quantity.The technology of using new type compounded crystal instead oftraditional heat dispersion method to diminish heat aggradation'sphenomenon of work substance was studied. The relationship among heatfocus, threshold power and pump facular radius was approached. Fourperformance parameter which are used in blue light frequency doublingLBO,KN,BBO and BIBO were compared. We used the ABCD matrix didthe theoretical analysis about the straight type cavity with equivalent gparameter and V type folded cavity with G parameter, and we obtained thecorresponding parameter of Gauss beam propagating in the straight typecavity and V type folded cavity. These work become the foundation of theexperiment.Last, according the former analysis and calculations, we used the newtype of compounded Nd:YAG crystal as the gain media, employed straighttype cavity, got 473nm laser with output power 400mW under thecondition of common semiconductor freezer TEG could controltemperature of laser crystal when the absorbing pump power was 14W.The conversion efficiency of pump light and frequency doubling light is2.86%.
