LD-pumped all-solid-state laser has been a hot research field in recent years,Due to its high efficiency,compactness.Especially the research on blue laser is very active because of its potential application in many fields,such as data- storage,under water communication,Biomedicine,laser display.However the technological of all-solid-state blue laser is slow and immature,In this thesis,the harmonic generation technique was adopted frequency doubling of 946 nm from Nd:YAG to produce 473nm blue laser.The theoretical and experimental researches completed in the thesis are as follows:(1) Base on the rate-equation and taking into account of both pumping and laser light distribution.the quasi-three-level system is analysed,the threshold condition,mode-macthing and crystal length of the laser are given.Some useful constructive conclusions are achieved.(2) A method of thermal effect reduction was suggested.A thermal insensity three-mirror-fold cavity with two twists which simultaneously satisfy the requirements of efficient pumping energy and smaller spot size which increases the pump efficiency.(3) Base on theoretical analysis the experiment was achieved.Through the optimization of the system.When the incident power was 12.5W.As high as 1.3W 473nm blue laser output was obtained.The optical-to-optical efficiency is up to 10.4%,the slope efficiency is 32.5%.the thermal saturation and stability of the laser was analyzed and discussed,the thermal lens focal length was measured out used the method of stable-resonator.
