The aluminum foil with paster is the major packing material in cigarette packing industry, which is jointed by aluminum foil and paper. In the cigarette foil product progress, the tension control affects the quality of cigarette foil directly. Therefore the tension control system is the key technology in compound device control.The paper starts with the producing process of the compound machine, analyses the main control objects, formation and influence of the tension of the machine in detail. The mathematics module of the system is founded, and three segment tension control method is adopted. The principle of the control system, the dynamic and static characteristic of the perform components are analyzed and modeled in detail. As far as time-variant and nonlinear radius of the winding and unwinding, the genetic algorithm is introduced to optimize the PID parameter based on the common PID control theory. Via the emulation of control system PID optimized parameter, the favorable results is validated.On the foundation of theory analyzing, this paper completes the system's industrialization, a suit of high precision, high reliability computer control system is developed. The new control system can run stably, has high tension control precision, and every technology performance is excellent. By Local debugging and performance testing, the approving effect is received.
