According to the process theory and control requirement on hydrogenation reactor in Hydrocracking Unit, This Article deepens the study and analysis on the reactor's temperature measurement and control technology. combined with my several years of engineering design experience about hydrogen reactor's temperature measurement and control , and referring to the abroad process patent vendor's successful experience on the recent imported process package, expatiate the method about temperature measurement and control scheme to big size hydrogen reactor, which provide the guidable direction on temperature measurement and control of hydrogen reactor. Firstly, it must be specified that the process requirement on hydrogen reactor's temperature. The two main concerned values are the radial temperature difference and longitudinal temperature rising of reactor bed. In addition, to guarantee the self safe of reactor, it is necessary to monitor the metal wall temperature of reactor during operation. Secondly, once confirmed the measurement target within processing, through the temperature monitoring , the distributing of radial temperature is to be indicated evenly or not. By injection of cold hydrogen to control the inlet temperature of each bed ,stabilize the each bed temperature rising. To monitor the surface temperature of reactor, not only protect the base material of reactor body, but also reflect the distributing of the reactor internal temperature, which is especially necessary for big diameter and lack of measuring point for reactor bed. Based on the monitor target of hydrogen reactor mentioned above, this article deepens analyse the application of all kinds of way of measurement of reactor bed temperature and the wall temperature of hydrogen reactor, and suggest improvement methods on temperature measurement and control of reactor in large scale HCU. Lastly, according to the trend of large scale HCU, with the increase of requirements on safety, and the decrease of operator , the article describe the methods of temperature alarming and interlock protection of reactor, which holds the important about unit safe and personnel safety.
