The study of a series of complex control system such as nonlinear, time-variable, great time delay, large inertia is always the hotspot and difficulty in control subject. For the above, due to majority of the advanced control algorithms are based on the establishment of mathematical model. There exist two problems. One is that the advanced control algorithm is dependent on the model structure of the controlled system. The other problem is that the modeling and dynamic has not been built. In reality, the advanced control model is mismatched and the operation effect of the system is not very good because the production equipment and techniques is in uncertainty. The algorithm of Model Free Adaptive Control (MFAC) does not rely on modeling, only uses the I/O data to design controller. It is a very meaningful study for applying the MFAC to the complex system. This thesis focuses on batch reactor that is used in the chemical industry reaction process. MFAC is applied in controlling the batch reactor temperature in the regulate range at the process of VCM polymerization. The mechanism of the VCM polymerization process is complex, possessing highly nonlinear, time-variable, great inertia; moreover, the batch reactor having large thermal capacity, so it's a control object with large time-delay. Based on the fruit in reaction kinetics model of the former research result, batcher reactor heat transferring model is set up to generate I/O data for the specific batcher reactor types, the techniques and products. The model of this thesis is only used to produce input and output data rather than designing the controller. This thesis' main works are as follows:1, Simulation study is adopted to verify the effectiveness of MFAC in the controlling the batch reactor temperature. We compare the effects of the tight form linearization MFAC (TFL-MFAC) and partial form linearization (PFL-MFAC), reach the conclusion that the control effect of PFL-MFAC is better than TFL-MFAC and give the corresponding explanations.2, In the process of studying serial control MFAC, the explanation is given according to comparing the controlling effect of single loop MFAC and serial control MFAC in the change of the temperature of cooling water.3, Based on the fruit in reaction kinetics model of the former research result, not only set up batcher reactor heat transferring model, but also use the mathematics model of VCM polymerization to simulate the situation in reality in the industrial production .It can guide the manufacture practically.
