Research And Implementaion Of Workflow Technolohgy In PDM System

As computer and information technology are fast developing, enterprises demand more and more autoimmunization, workflow management technology now is considered. Workflow management technology can make better use of information and human resources, to support enterprises' drive for efficiency. This thesis studied the realization. Summarized the studies of PDM system and workflow management technologies include concept, structure chart, basic functions of PDM system and relevant conceptions, development history, reference model of workflow management system. It provides theoretical basis for the studies on integrating workflow management technologies in PDM system.This dissertation outlines the theories and implementation methods of PDM in thirdr aspects:PDM modeling, based on relation-based lightweight workflow engine, the application of workflow technology based on relation-based database. Based on the workflow technology, this research is focus on the realizing the PDM facing small and medium-sized enterprises. The main contents are as follows:1. The thesis has explained the concept of PDM system and the advantage of PDM system implement in medium and small-scale enterprises. It has carried on the theoretical research based on PDM system of Web technology.2. The PDM systematic framework of the mixing mode on the basis of B/S and C/S is proposed for the technology and resource current situation of the medium and small-scale enterprises, this structure is suitable for expanding to PDM system totally based on WEB.3. It studied the application based on relation-based lightweight workflow engine and discussing how to design and realize the workflow engine.4. Workflow technology base on database is adopted for workflow management, project management, document management. This technology can make the workflow more flexible and it also can integrate PDM and other application system easier.It is a quite abundant subject to technical research of workflow management in PDM system. In this thesis, the author has only carried on some preliminary attempts. To workflow management in PDM system, how to utilize theory of workflow management technology in deeper and more extensive range is discussed, it will be a very valuable subject for research.
