Because of the circumstances of the making Natrium by electrolyzing molten salt in industrial field is adverse, and the process parameters and variables of the different Electrolytic Cells are different, and there are nonlinear time-varying hysteretic characteristic in many process control parameters, all of these cause inconvenience in the operation process control of Natrium Electrolytic Cells. The Intelligent Control System could provide experimentation and control equipments for operation control and energy saving design of Natrium Electrolytic Cells, taking the Controller Area Network(CAN)with the international standard as communication bus, the Intelligent Instrument with Fieldbus interface and Intelligent Control as Field Control Terminal, InTouch9.5 as configuration software.In this paper, the frame of Natrium Electrolytic Cells Intelligent Control System based on Fieldbus CAN, and the main function of system is designed by Hierarchical Method. Then the hardware frame, software flow and field control method of Field Intelligent Control Instrument for measuring and controlling about liquid-level and air pressure of chlorine pipeline using in electrolyzing operation process are designed mostly. The hardware frame is designed by the method of Dual Processor and data cache of Dual Port RAM. The software flow is designed by the modularization frame varying with function. The Intelligent Fuzzy Logic Control method is chose by studying about control object in field, and the programme about field control method is compiled using the modularization functional frame. In the end, the Host Computer configuration interface is designed using InTouch9.5.The Natrium Electrolytic Cells Intelligent Control System based on Fieldbus change the close, appropriation of the traditional DCS communication network to the approach with publication and standardizes, and could provide solve path to the various function of the comprehensive automation and the Expert Control System of Electrolytic Cells. The Fieldbus Intelligent Instrument with high performance software, hardware, and Fuzzy Logic control method could descend all the control function, measure, transmit, and control the field object. So it could raise the automation level of Natrium Electrolytic Cells control effectively.
