This paper introduces a distributed control system based on fieldbus, which could analyse metallurgical property of iron ore. CAN bus is applicated to construct the network and communicate with upper monitor system. All of the equipments in the system were made together, so the imformation collection, process controlling, data analysis and storage could be processed together. Moreover, the application of CAN bus improves the real-time transmition ability of the system.Two-stage control system is used. Master monitor is IPC. Software was composed in Delphi and has many functions: communication with intelligent instruments and PLC, real-time process control, data display, data storage, error reduce, curve plot and data sheet print. Slavery controller is SIEMENS PLC, and used to realize electric control and switch signal collection. An intelligent control arithmetic for IPC is also introduced to precisely control the tempreture of iron ore reducibility mensuration system instead of traditional instrument control device, in that the development of mensuration technology for iron ore reducibility is laggard and the temperature control is rough. The new fuzzy control method is based on formula and esay to be programmed by computer. Proper control rules are applied to different temperature segment and the self-optimizing arithmetic makes the temperature control precise. The result of experimentation shows that the system has satisfactory performance and the method is reliable and efficacious. The arithmetic and methods adopted in the system are practical and worthy for reference.
