The contents in the thesis belong to the field of structure control in seismic engineering, which consists of the researches of control implement and control strategy. Although we have gained some meaningful progresses in this field and successfully applied many control implements to practical engineering, there are still some problems at the field of structure control strategy. The effects of some complicated factors, such as the nonlinear, time-change, time delay, strong couple, distributes parameters and uncertainty of controlled structure system, bring the research of structure control strategy many serious difficulties. Algorithm research of intelligent structure vibration control explores an efficient way to solve these problems.The thesis is divided into three parts. The first one talks about basic theory on intelligent structural control; The second one studies intelligent structure vibration control using artificial neural networks (ANN); The third one investigates intelligent structure vibration control using fuzzy logic method. The dissertation has 8 chapters and their maj or contents are summarized as follow:The first part includes first to third chapter of thesis. The background and significance of this thesis are presented; The state-of-the-art research for structure control in China and in abroad, the developing history and properties of the intelligent structure control are summarized; The typical methods, artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic methods are introduced. Meanwhile the contents and objects of the thesis are introduced on the basis of analyzing the existing problems. The basic theory of multilayer feedforward ANN with BP algorithm and the fuzzy logic control methods are introduced. This part also explores the basic method of the intelligent structure control with the former two theories, which is the theoretical foundation of application of the intelligent structure control.The second part includes 4th and 5th chapter of thesis, which mainly explores the intelligent structure control using artifical neural networks, and establishes the method that can forecast the structure vibration response with artificial neural networks (ANN). During the process of forecast, the invalidation forecast function, importance function and weight function are introduced, which can solve the problem of time-delay effectively. The method of using ANN to control the structure vibration response is also established. This part includes how to analyze a hybrid control system with numerical emulation to achieve the goal of ANN forecast and control. The numerical model and algorithm of intelligent- vi -ABSTRACTstructural response control using tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) are established. A systematic study on parameters on the controlled system with TLCD is presented and the intelligent structure control using ANN is accomplished numerically.The third part includes 6th to 8th chapter of thesis, which mainly studies the structural control using fuzzy logic. In this thesis, a new method of adjusting automatically the range of fuzziness on time is presented and establishes the concept of fuzzy influence coefficent first, which improves the effects of fuzzy control. The structure抯 AMD control using fuzzy logic is also presented. The validity of the method is proved by the numerical analysis. Comparative studies between fuzzy control and instantaneous optimal control are presented. The thesis first establishes the intelligent response control strategy and analysis method of the adjacent buildings using fuzzy logic and artificial neural network, optimizes the position of controller and considers the effect of damping. The connecting manner, the position of controller and the control rule are the key of the problem, which are all be solved very well in this thesis.
