Informationisation patterns of the modern enterprise have transformed with the change and innovation of the notion and the technology. And then enterprises have begun to pay attention to the synchronized integration of the internal and external information in order to timely obtain resources. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) can help the enterprise to achieve integrated management of internal information, but it can not effectively control external customer resources. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) focuses on attracting and maintaining customers, but without the necessary ability to promptly respond to the customer demand for it lacks dynamic information from the other sources of information.Considering the weaknesses of ERP system in interaction with customers and CRM system's inability to integrate other information resources of the enterprise, this thesis combined with the current information technology and needs of the sales management proposes a new method to design the Sales Management System (SMS) of ERP based on the concept of CRM, which can provide a new thought for integrating enterprise software systems.The thesis analyzes, firstly, the prevailing situation and the development trends of the Sales Management System, and summarizes the connotation, the advantages and weaknesses of ERP and CRM as well as their integration. Subsequent to analyses of the function modules of ERP and CRM respectively, the thesis seeks to design a SMS of ERP based on the CRM concept, and utilizes the pattern which combines Internet and Intranet to construct the system architecture and the overall framework. Further, the SMS function module has also been introduced in here. In order to standardize the development process of the software, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) has been applied. This has been accomplished with the purpose of establishing system requirement workflow and the system analysis and designed workflow, where the model-driven mode for guiding the development process.Then, the VB language and Access database are utilized in order for implementation of the system. The thesis utilizes ADO control tool of ASP to realize the visitation to WEB database under the network environment, and discusses on how to achieve the extension of modules with the XML data format. Finally, the thesis conducts empirical study with a background of a Drinking Ltd. Co. with the purpose of solving some prevailing problems. The system has been applied for this enterprise to confirm its convenience of internal and external information interaction and its applicability.
