As we know, the famous comprehensive newspaper South Weekend is titled "a flag" for the domestic supervision of public opinion, because it has been persisting in the fruitful Critical Reports for a long time. The Critical Reports of this newspaper is widely welcomed by the readers, and its success is related to its unique texts to a large extent. Therefore, the research on texts of such Critical Reports will get much practical value, Whether for theoretical study or for operational guidance. However, the research of South Weekend is mainly concentrated on the experience and institutional analysis level, and there is no paper about texts of the Critical Reports on South Weekend till now, so I try to introduce the theory of Narratology, use it to analyze these texts, and find the narrative laws of them.In the course of the study, I conducted a typical sampling. First I selected more than 40 Critical Reports texts as samples from the front page Headline News of South Weekend, according to the years of 1996 to 2003.Then I made use of the Narratology theory and some methods, such as the content analysis method, induction and deduction method and the typical case study analysis method, to analyze those samples. My study perspectives of this paper included the narrator, narrative time, narrative perspective, narrative prototype, narrative structure, narrative strategy and ideology behind them. Finally, I found the features of internal form of these Critical Reports texts, and revealed the narrative value or narrative purpose behind them.
