Observing The Situation Of Scholars Being On TV By Academic Speech Program

At the beginning of this century, there are many programs which invite scholars to make speeches on TV produced by television stations in our country. Showing scholarship on TV attracts the television researchers and intelligentsia again. This thesis tried to observe the relation between scholar and the media environment, basing on the TV academic speech program and its disputes.The first part: make an introduction for the two objects of this research report: intelligentsia and the academic speech program. We review the relation of scholar and TV, basing on the brief introduction of intelligentsia and their duty. Then we show the situation of the academic speech programs by introducing their patterns and the existent space for them.The second part: we study the changes of the speech which made by scholar in the scene of television, in a light of the specific property of TV which the program plays on. First, we look back upon the effects which media act on human knowledge, and reflect on the role which the program plays. Second, we differentiate the forum on TV from the realistic classroom, and analyze the feature of two kinds of audience that always in TV speech. Then we can find the changes in the speeches for the new scene of communication.The third part: comparing the field of intellectuals and the media, we find how to extend the scholastic influence in this new media environment.
