With the development of the computer technology, the application of embedded system is much wider, it distributes every field, such as industrial control, intelligence appliance, business, telecommunication, medical, etc. It has close relation with human life, and its position and function become more and more important.Embedded system is a dedicated computer system. Contrast to general computer system, it has several features as follow: embedded system will be created to complete a particular function, and it restricts power consume, volume, cost, reliance. 2. In general, embedded system is a real time system, because it is often implicated in procedure control field, and needs to react to external incident in time. 3. Embedded system's software is programmed on basis of purpose hardware, so software and hardware have close relation with each other. Software will change largely if the hardware platform changes. 4. Due to consideration of factors of volume, power consume, embedded system has high integrated degree, limited capacity of memory and calculate ability.Because of many features above, the method of developing embedded system is different from the method of pure software in general computer. Embedded system is dedicated computer system which refers to a particular application. It varies in each construction of embedded system, which makes difficult to develop. This thesis studies on the development procedure of embedded system, based on software engineering, with the feature of embedded system developing, comes up with an engineering method of embedded system developing, and discusses how to create an embedded system according to the engineering method.According to engineering point, this thesis divides designing procedure of embedded system into demand analysis, system analysis, system implement, system test and debug, explains the related task and method respectively. Combining the features of developing embedded system, such as the limit of system demand , evaluate of system scale, making development plan, adjust mechanic of plan implement, software and hardware development coordinately , the development and debugging of software driver, this thesis explains the above features respectively, and emphasizes the importance of plan and time concept.With complicated application of embedded system, it becomes an important issue in developing embedded system how to achieve application in great scale, how to develop application system more conveniently and more effectively. It has an important practical value to research on embedded system developing procedure from analysis, design, implement to test and engineering method.
