Design And Implementation Of Streaming Media Server Of Digital Video Recorder

Constructing safety society is a topic of security management area forever. People are finding a way of high technology to prevent all of crime along with the high technology crime be increasing day by day. Thus the Technology Protection has become the newest management model and protection way in the Security Management area. The Technology Protection is a measure that it can prevent and watch an area, and it can avoid dangerous case's occurring, for example, CCTV technology, infrared detection technology and so on. In security prevention system, the traditional Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) has been replaced by the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) in the Security Prevention System. Besides the scalability of storage capacity, the convenience of query and handling and the management and control function, the Digital Video Recorder has the interface of network function. The route user can use the Client Software to play the video file in Digital Video Recorder via the network. Whereas, two serious problems exist in this application. First of all, the Digital Video Recorder needs to connect to the public network, but the software which provides the video service in the Digital Video Recorder has not any security mechanism, thus the security of the Digital Video Recorder will encounter a lot of threat from the network. The second, anybody may watch all of the video as long as anybody use the client software to connect to the Digital Video Recorder, furthermore, the client software is able to operate the video files stored in the Digital Video Recorder, for example, playing, copying, deleting and so on. It makes the security of the video data encounter threat. Therefore, a scheme which can provide the video service for route users as well as protect the resources of the Digital Video Recorder is very exigent.Through analysis the process and principle of execution of the client software and the Digital Video Recorder software, this thesis put forward further the design scheme of the Streaming Media Server of Digital Video Recorder.This thesis describes following parts:1. Analysis the process and principle of execution of the client software and the Digital Video Recorder software.2. Confirm the architecture and functions of the Streaming Media Server.3. Complete program design of the Streaming Media Server.4. Complete software test and performance analysis.The Streaming Media Server is designed for satisfying part of users in requirement, it will force the development of security management software trade along with the application of the Streaming Media Server.
