The demand of bandwidth is exploding since the data service, such as IPTV and online games, becomes the mainstream. But the access network based on xDSL can not satisfy the customers' requirement of the huge bandwidth. So the telecom service providers refer to FTTx, and the bottle-neck of the access network will be broken soon. Looking at the service aspect, the voice over IP service may not grow up in the near future. So the TDM service must be well supported. Actually, it is easy for the MSTP access network for the enterprises to support TDM service, but the MSTP equipment is too complex and expensive for the home customers. The other choice is PON. EPON uses Ethernet to support voice, so the problem is QoS. GPON is a perfect technology for all kinds of services, but it is also not easy to implement. In the first chapter of this paper, some of the access network technologies are compared. In the second chapter, the P2P optical access network system is designed. In the third chapter, the control card is designed. The forth chapter is the system test experiment and result. The last chapter is the summarize and expectation. The innovation points in this paper is that some access network technologies are analyzed, P2P optical network transportation is used to design the optical access network, and the debugging and test result of this system is provided, and also the design and implementation of control card is discussed.
