Today, telecom providers have changed their object to stability customer base and increase the profit margin steadily. The telecom providers have realized they should make more efforts on the revenue management while keeping business increasing. so the Revenue Assurance project which help telecom provider decreasing revenue leakage, reducing cost, improve management and maximizing revenues, become more and more popular and important.Billing in time and correctly is one of the most important parts in revenue management. The data of billing system is the base data of telecom, and its veracity work on the revenue of telecom directly.After many research on the revenue assurance and billing system, the author found many good methods to discover revenue assurance. The author found the most effective way to prevent revenue leakage is to build a system to audit and monitor the billing system. The author designed an auditing and monitoring system to discover revenue leakages in billing processes. In order to design this system, the author made deep research on revenue assurance, billing system and billing operation flow. The author found some balance formula based on the data of billing system and operation flow. The auditing system extracts CDR and some other data from the billing system, and then, validates the balance formulas and monitors the risk points to find revenue leakages in billing system in time.
