Application Of Multi-Agent Technology To Network Manament

Network management systems are large, distributed software systems that can suffer from the scalability and flexibility. It is an innovative way for network management systems to adapt multi-agent technology. Multi-agent technology offers a promising solution to these problems.This paper first introduces agent technology and multi-agent technology, and introduces thinking mode of agent network environment. For network management architecture (DANMA) is put forward. DANMA distributes intelligence and control over the whole network, which provides the network with the capabilities of self-adaptability and self-organization. The evaluation for developing distributed network management system with the feature of high real-time, good scalability and strong autonomy moreover, these kinds of system are more economical to build, to modify and to upgrade than those traditional network management systems.
