Design And Implementation Of Semantic Web Techniques-Based Context-Aware System

More and More People access Web through mobile devices, such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants. In order to acquire rich and flexible mobile device, context information should be understood. Semantic Web is the revolution of the current Web which enables computers to understand Web information. Semantic Web and ontology technologies are the key requirement for realizing context sharing, semantic interoperation and context reasoning. Applying semantic Web technologies to context-aware intelligent mobile service was analyzed in this thesis.Some research was done on design and implementation of semantic Web techniques-based context-aware System. First the pervasive computing and context-aware technology was introduced. Second the Semantic Web and related inference engine technologies were described. Then a detailed analysis of the context-aware system's overall structure, the function of each module and context information ontology construction and reasoning were made. Then the prototype system context-aware applications and performance evaluation were given. At last is a final summary and outlook.In this paper, the main results is the design of context-aware system's overall structure based on the OSGi framework, the adoption of Semantic Web-based modeling in the context modeling and the use of ontology reasoning mechanisms for the application to get the high level context.
