With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, electric power consumption also rises sharply. As portable or the emergency power generator, it brings conveniences for the general lives of the people, its market demand also increases day by day. Most of the gasoline generators are AC-DC-AC inverters in market now. AC-DC-AC inverter has advantages of easy to control and high power factor, but exorbitant hardware is its primary disadvantage, especially for high power devices.The device we discuss and design in the paper is a generator power module that is for mass production and easy to carry. Cycloconverter is adopted in the module, which output is single phase 220V/50Hz invariable voltages.First of all, the working principle of single phase cycloconverter has been introduced, and some ways of how to achieve AC-AC frequency conversion also have been introduced. Compared with these ways' strongpoint and shortcoming, the module of logic no-circulation flow based on the theory of cosine crossing point was adopted to implement cycloconverter.Secondly as the frequency and voltage of fundamental wave is always changing, the sine value and arc cosine value in the computing the trigger angle were calculated and put into the memory beforehand. The value was taken out from the datasheet when the system is operating, which avoid computing on line and help to implement complex control algorithm.Then fuzzy control was adopted to control the step motor that control the generator's shutter opening according to the system's request and practical situation. The fuzzy control rule was established and the fuzzy control tabulating was made after the system's data measuring rectification and analysis. The dynamic response of voltage regulation is quick and accurate. PI modulation was adopted to control the ratio of output voltage, which eliminate the cumulative error and improve the static performance of the system. In view of the output frequency characteristic, the control to output the frequency is open-loop, several reasons which lead to erroneous have analyzed, and measures have adopted to reduced the erroneous.Finally ATmegal6 was adopted as the microprocessor in the system, the major parts of hardware and the major program flow charts were introduced. And the whole debugging, testing, and the evaluation have carried on the power source module and the generator together.
