Research And Implementation Of Collaboration Awareness System Based On CAD Platform

CSCD (Computer Supported Collaborative Design) emerges as a promising research area in the rapid evolution of information technology. For further research and application, there are a series of technical problems, such as collaboration awareness is the main one. Only if collaboration awareness be resolved, the application environment on CSCD could be established steadily; then, the application system could work normally.Aimed to develop a CAD system of real-time collaboration, unforced communication and easy to use, this dissertation focuses on the deep research of collaboration awareness based on Doctor CAD platform. The main works are listed as following:1. Started with the research on the architecture of CSCD system, the author proposed architecture of CSCD based on Doctor CAD platform and discussed the manners, edition control, access control, awareness control in the system.2. Aimed at research actuality and methods of collaboration awareness, the author analyzed the awareness information and awareness methods of CSCD based on Doctor CAD platform, then divided the collaboration awareness system based on Doctor CAD platform into two function module.3. To fulfill the capability of real time, and reduce the transmission quantity, the system adopted the collaboration awareness based on "message" mechanism to transfer dynamic data.4. By constructing the information-handled module and communication module based on Winsock programming, the final system realized the graphics awareness.5. Based on NetMeeting API, the communication module is developed by using the COM technology, which improved the interactive performance of the system and fulfilled the need of collaboration awareness in real-time cooperative design.The experiment has proved that the system has effectively verified the related technology proposed in this paper, which has established the capabilities of graphic and communication awareness, and fulfilled the need of collaboration awareness of CSCD. So, it is meaningful for guiding to build other isomorphic CSCD system.
