With the rapid development of wireless network technology and extensive application of mobile devices, the appearance of Mobile CSCW is an inevitable tendency of the traditional CSCW. However, The Mobile CSCW has its disadvantages despite its advantages and great values.When the mobile terminals communicate via wireless network, because of the narrow bandwidth and instability of network, it often leads to temporally disconnection, thus prevents the clients from conveniently information communication and keeps the group members from co-working. What's more, because of the limited storage ability and available power, such as a short duration of battery, it will result in unexpected communication interruption, thus do harmful impact to co-work.In this paper, the relative theories of CSCW were introduced. The research background and current status and the requirement of the technique were analyzed. Based on this work, we build up a framework model for Mobile CSCW system; introducing the composing and implementation in detail of our model from both the server and client sides. Then, aiming at solving the problems of wireless network disconnection and mobile terminals energy consumption, meanwhile in order to assure a safe, reliable and efficient information transmission, to reduce the response time of perceiving information, we propose an awareness model base on energy consumption. Some critical techniques were analyzed and introduced in our model, such as the collection of awareness information, distribution of awareness information and displaying of awareness. Finally, based on our model and technique, we design and implement this whiteboard system. By analyzing the performance and comparing several typical methods, it indicated that our method is of feasibility.
