Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) is the most important and fundamental branch of middleware which can provide effective and reliable message transmission between applications run on heterogeneous platforms. First, two different types of MOMs which are Message Queue Middleware and Message Broker Middleware are introduced in this thesis. Then, a composite model MOM based on message classifying has been devised, by comparing the model of message queue and message broker, which can choose optional model to deliver the different needs of the messages. But this MOM can transmit high-speed data and high-reliability, persistence messages, so it can be used for a wide variety of fields.In order to improve this MOM system's performance and reliability, we use the thread pool technology, memory buffer technology, slide window protocol, and reliable multicast protocol to realize the server and client of this system.In the end, the implement of a simple MOM product based on this model and two applied instances are shown.
