Through many years sequence development, Linux become a functional operation system. To the traditional operation system it has become a powerful opponent. Today in the field of the embedded system, embedded Linux has made a great progress and developed a large market. Nowadays, more and more embedded products such as wiring and industry control use Linux as their operation system. Many companies include Wikipedia think that Linux will have a good prospect in the embedded system field, and they have joined into this field, become a member of the teams that aim to study and develop the Linux. In this paper, the author describes several embedded environments and how to build the developing platform of embedded devices. This platform is opening.Using this platform can develop embedded wiring and electronical product etc. After this platform builded,we will add components in it and update it.Then we will make the time of research faster, make updating easer and reduce cost.An embedded device ,Control Point was developed based on this platform to validate it.On EPIA ME-6000 target board, used VIA Samue12/600Mhz CPU ,they implemented Control Point's function. Control Point allows automatic discovery and control of services available on the network from other devices without user intervention. Control points can search for specific services on the network. When they find the devices with the desired services, the control points can retrieve detailed descriptions of the devices and services and interact from that point on.In this paper, they research and practice a lot before designing and building embedded devices based on Linux. They use a few kinds target boards and CPU. Some people will get a good start if they want to exploitation later.
