The Research On Folksonomy In Digital Information Resource Organization

Due to the fast development of net technique, it is obviously the traditional net taxonomy shows hysteresis for the organization of net resource. In details, it is not suitable for the fast increase and spread of net information, What is the reasons of a great gulf fixed between net users and net taxonomy. Besides, nowadays the taxonomy for net application is a kind of traditional book-taxonomy, for another one a kind of taxonomy produced by the net itself. Although some experts try their best to remedy the limitation of them two, there is no Way for it till now, Which is also an important problem faced by all digital libraries.With the appearance of Web 2.0, the Internet comes to a new time. Frankly, it is a new challenge for the digital libraries. We all know that Web 2.0 needs more service and participation of uses. Therefore, the digital library must reform its system, concept, human resource and technique, making involving more users in its net rebuilding.Thomas VanderWal, an expert for net framework in American, bring forward the concept of Folksonomy firstly, Which gives us a new way for the problem mentioned above. Based on the theory of taxonomy, this paper analyses and concludes the connotation, system and function of it through plenty of investigation for its application in all over the World. At the same time, the paper also describes its application mode in library 2.0 from the view of data pattern and application system and discusses the disadvantage and suggestion about it.This paper is divided into five parts as fellows: it summarizes the research background of this topic in the first part, Which shows the advantage and disadvantage to be the priority. The basic theory, the application and current problems are mentioned in the second part, mainly for the framework, characteristics, rules, application and foreground about it. In the third part, it discusses its information organization characteristic, based on the blog in the net. We could find that the application of Folksonomy is much suitable for users, compared with ordinary taxonomy. In addition, it shows the application of Folksonomy in digital information resource and also proposes the mode of it in the forth part of the paper. At last, the paper summarizes the advantage and disadvantage of the Folksonomy and gives some suggestion about that.
