Study On The Evaluation Of Digital Information Resource Service In University Libraries

In the 90s of 20th century, the progress of network technology, the development of digital information environment, and the global upsurge of digital library's construction, the strength of library service, brought the new service model of university libraries—digital information resources service.The appearance of digital information resources service made a great change on the library information service e which has a history of 100 years. In order to understand the service effect in time,and make a preparation for the enhancement of service quality, it is necessary to make an evaluation on the digital information resource service.The digital information resource service evaluation not only enriched the theory of library science ,but also extended the field of library practice activity.There are two reasons to evaluate the university library digital information resource service: one is that through it can understand the effect of users using digital resource service, the second is through evaluation can collect relative data that reflect library resources ,services and so on. After evaluation, library can improve the resource construction and enhance the service quality, thus can better satisfy users'need.There are 4 main chapters in this paper:Chapter 1,Exordium.On the basis of defining digital information resource service and the needs to evaluate the digital information resource service,summarizes the background,purpose ,significance and content of the paper, and introduces the research status quo of digital rource service evaluation both at home and abroad.Chapter 3, the theory and practice of digital information resource evaluation in university library. analyzes the problems that may be encountered in digital information resource service.summerizes 3 main evaluation methods: from users perception perspective, digital information resource service metrics perspective, the evaluation based on digital resource information service content. after analyzing the 3 methods, proposes that the evaluation of digital information service should make user-centered idea as cut-in point, and the evaluation should from user perception perspective, abstracts several evaluation essential factors , and transfers these essential factors into key evaluation indicators.the authors chooses the user satisfactory theory at last.Chapter 2 , digital information resource service model in university libraries.makes Jilin University as reference object, summarizes the digital information resource service model in university libraries of our country, including 7 models: accesing service, the library website, online database,OPAC ,document delivery, subject navigation, virtual reference service. and explains their feature, function and so on.Chapter4, user satisfactory evaluation model construction and .on the basis of reference the American Customer Satisfactory model, combines the university library digital information resource service model, design an user satisfactory evaluation model of library digital information resource service model, the model includes 9 variables, and then using this model design a questionnaire, analyzes Jilin University library digital information resource service quality, including the users'attitude towards digital information,the status that users using the digital information resources service;the score and right of online database, library website,OPAC ,subject navigation,accessing service, document delivery,virtual reference service ,the correlativity and there impact between variables,on this basis construct an user's satisfactory strategic matrix of university library digtital information resource service, and then give some suggestions on how to improve the users'satisfaction.Chapter5,conclusion and expection.Makes a conclusion of this paper, put forward the issues should be paid attention to and the research direction of digital information resource service evaluation in university library.
