With the development of database technology and the popularization of network . on one hand, A large quantity of data were storaged in a lot heterogeneous databases,So we must face the"isolated islands of information"problem which is unfavorable for data share. On the other hand, with the fierce economic competition all around the world.More and more information systems want to access the data to share the information,so the information integration in the multiple heterogeneous databases is very important theoretically and practically, and the technology of integrating the heterogeneous databases becomes a hot spot for researchers. This paper study the xml and correlation technology , reaserch the strategy and model of the heterogeneous data integration and analyze their advantage and disadvantage. On the groud that this paper consider that xml with the features of platform independency, easy extendibility, good interactivity, good semantics quanlity and formatting ability, which is a good and promising methods for information has supplies a powerful tool for information standardization. Based on the scholarship of literatures and the current most popular technology, A three-layers framework of XML-Based Heterogeneous Data Integration System is proposed by use the Lazy-Mediated model. It provides a middle platform for share and integrate heterogeneous datas. Users access data without aware of anything about the heterogeneous source database. This paper focus on the problem that map and storage between XML and RDB. This framework is easy to be extended in the future because of its flexible structure. Finally it was used in a Mataerial Information Management System to slove data integration problem.
