Research And Development Of Embedded Serial Device Server In The DNC System

As the technology of the computer and network are more generally used in the manufacturing production, the networking and integration have already become an inevitable trend in manufacturing based on numerical control machine. DNC (Distributed Numerical Control) is one of the main means for realizing the networked and integrated numerical control processes. In our country's manufacturing industry, the numerical control machine only having serial interface occupies a pretty big proportion. Now the DNC system grounded on this type of machine mostly use general serial device server to implement the transformation between all kinds of serial protocol and TCP/IP, which can't effectively carry out integration of numerical control information when kinds of numerical control systems exist at the same workshop, this bring about certain difficulty for the development and maintenance of the networked DNC system.This paper put forward the structures blue print of networked DNC system based on embedded solution by combining embedded technology and ethernet technology, and developed autonomously economical embedded serial device server which is composed of 32-bit microprocessor and embedded real-time OS (Operation System). By working out a rule to transmission line for NC program adapted to on-line processing with numerical control machine, the paper realized the designing of embedded serial device server's multitask kernel further. By implanting simplified TCP/IP stack and embedded Web server into OS, this server realized not only the transformation between serial protocol and TCP/IP together, but also networked monitor and control to manufacturing procedure, so as to achieve the all-round informational exchange between numerical control machine and its upper management software.Based on what is researched above, the paper explored the design methods of the communication program of the DNC server based on multi-line-route technology. The paper also exposed how to use Socket and multi-line-route to realize the link and communication between DNC server and several serial device servers.At last, the design of software and hardware of the embedded serial device server and the adoption of data transfer rule are proved by a series of experiments...
