At present, the register of circles that athlete run in modern race are still using thetraditional method,it count bypeople. This methodhas deviatedfrom the development trends ofdoingwork automaticallyor use information technologyin modern sports events .Therefor, withthe development and application of the remote radio frequency identification technology,wireless data transmission technology,computer serial communication technology,computerprogramtechnologyanddatabasetechnology,wedesigntheautomaticcircle-countingsystem.This paper presents the current status of the register circle in race and the development ofregister automatically, it present the problems we face in designing the apparatus. In light ofthese problems, presents the knowledge and technology we used in designing the system detailby detail ,presents the method we make use of the knowledge and technology when design thesystem .It covers the following aspects mainly: according to the regulation of the internationalathleticsfederationanddemandsoftheactualscene,putforwardtheoveralldesignofthesystem;analysis the principles and applications of RFID technology, choose the RFID system for thedesign; presents the knowledge of computer serial communication, put forward the protocol ofserial communication used in the design and design the control circuit for communications ;linkprogramwithdatabase,realizethefunctionofinformationprocessing.
