With the development of the rolling mill automatic technology, the intelligent milling technology becomes more and more widely used, which makes the intelligent computer control widely instead of operator and the technician in the milling process automation. Rolling mill industrial control gradually runs to NCS from DCS with the development of computer communication technology and the information technology. The high-speed data transmission ensures the realization of strip type control in the milling process automation under the NCS environment. This topic mainly researches the communication system with the control function of 1450mm reversing cold rolling mill.This paper mainly introduces the typical communication protocol------fieldbus protocol PROFIBUS, Ethernet and TCP/IP used in the milling industrial control. Combining with OPC interface technology, we study the necessary and method based on OPC technology. Secondly, the paper introduces the control function of this reversing cold rolling mill control system. On the basis of the software and hardware configuration and control requirement of the control system, we design the NCS control scheme of the project------mixed control scheme of PROFIBUS and Ethernet.Lastly, on the basis of 1450mm reversing cold rolling mill's control requirement, the paper detailedly analyses the PROFIBUS communication and its realization between AMS and all-digital DC driving module SPDM. Then we give the data conformity method based on Ethernet and OPC between computer control core AMS and HMI InTouch. And we make analysis with the system final running result. Through the test, the system real time performance and real refurbish rate is satisfying.
