With the swift development and wide application of the internet and the embedded system, it is the necessary trend of the embedded system's application that the embedded system connects to the web. At present mostly embedded equipments based on the network application usually use 32 bit microprocessor as the hardware to constitute the embedded Web server, for example PC machine or ARM. This kind of development has the cost high, the volume big, the power loss big and so on shortcomings. Presently, MCU has achieved the unprecedented degree of each domain in the industry and the family application, but they majority still are at the alone application stage. In view of the current universal application low microcontroller, this article takes 8-bit MCU as WEB server connecting to the Internet as the object , studying the method of the WEB server based on 8 bit MCU and Ethernet. The main research contents and the results as follows:(1) A design scheme by an ordinary 8 bit MCU to drive an Ethernet controller chip is described, designing the structure of embedded web server, explaining the design of the embedded system hardware,components,functions and feasibility of the hardware, fabricating hardware circuit, mainly hardware circuit realization between 8-bit microprocessor and the Ethernet controller chip. The purpose is connecting the top networking of information.(2) Seriously research on the MCU and Ethernet controller chip used in the hardware system. Programs are written which based on AT89C55WD MCU and RTL8019AS, detailed discussing the realization of the control module of Ethernet interface and Ethernet controller chip driver.(3) In order to TCP/IP protocols are applied to embedded system ,TCP/IP protocols are tailored as an embedded system application in view of the limited resource of MCU system, discussing the realization ofμIP and the flow of the program, loading TCP/IP protocols to the system.(4) The system programs designed by C51 language are used the selected developing tool of Keil C51 uVision2 to compile,debug and run. The result indicates that the designed embedded web server based on 8 bit microprocessor can realize the basic functions of the embedded web server.(5) The paper provides a method to realize embedded web server based on MCU system, providing the theory basis and the technical support for the embedded system connecting to the Internet and verifying the feasibility of the entire system realization.The studied methods are significant and have great practical value for seeking and solving 8-bit MCU connecting to the internet by the most superior performance-to-price ratio.
