As an important kind of geophysical prospecting methods, seismicexploration is widely used in city construction, environment investigation,mineral resources exploration; project quality examination and so on. Thedevelopment of seismic exploration has a direct action on ourmodernization's process. As a sign of seismic exploration development,the shallow layer seismic exploration equipment is a necessary for theordinary geological prospecting. So the researches on the seismicexploration equipment is of great importance.For the moment, because of the limitation of CPU's speed, theshallow layer seismic exploration data processing system can't doreal-time exploration for a place, and it makes the data collection and dataprocessing separated. The old equipment has problems of low efficientanalysis andprecision, and it has a serious restrict on the development ofthe ordinary geological prospecting. This article is just under thisbackground, we first analyse the needs of ordinary geological prospecting,then we do thorough researches on the seismic exploration data processingand embedded technologies, combine them together, and propose a newdesign mode for seismic exploration data processing system, EmbeddedMicro-Processor Unit + Embedded Linux + Embedded GUI. And wesuccedd in designing a new seismic exploration system.In this article we design a network function which is really a newfunction for the exploration system, through which we can change databetween the system and PC, also it makes the data management easier. Andwe also design a seismic exploration signal processing library. The libraryis not only convenient for the new seismic exploration equipment's design,but also it can save the costs for system development.In this article we take the S3C2410 as CPU, and together with the other components we design the hardware platform. On the softwaredesign, we take Embedded-Linux as system's operating system. In thisarticle, according to the needs of system's design, we build a suitabledevelopment platform, including: the host-platform and thetarget-platform's development environments. Then, we make use of theEmbedded GUI, combining it with seismic exploration data processingtechnologies, we design the Embedded-Linux based shallow seismicexploration data processing system. After testing it shows that the systemis efficient and practical.
