Design And Investigation On The Self-Control System Of Horizontal Continuous Copper Caster

With the rapid development of nonferrous metal processing industry, therequirement for quality of horizontal continuous casting made-up belt product isgreatly raised. The quality and yield of made-up belt product is determined by thereliability and precision of the control system of dragger.The auto-control system of horizontal dragger for Copper alloy of Zhengyuanassociation in Ningbo is designed and investigated in this thesis. At first, the structureof the dragger was analyzed, and then the control method was settled according to theneed of the practical production. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) wasselected as the control equipment. Secondly, the needed components of the controllerand the inter running order among them was set. Based on the control requirementsthe input and output point number was determined, and the model number ofprogrammable logic controller was selected. Then the constitution strategy of thecontrol system was designed and the design method of the software and hardwarewere obtained. At last, the working method was determined and the control programwas developed.Touching screen is a newly developed interface equipment. It is a smallworking station designed for the application of PLC. Entirely sealed-in panel isadopted for this equipment which is very suitable to the situation with much dust andformidable circumstance.In this work, the touching screen was designed using configuration softwareafter the self-control system was completed. The operating staff can input processingparameters into the touching screen menu, and the parameters are transmitted to theprogrammable controller. After the information is processed, the controller can givedirections to the production technology and then the whole production process iscompleted.
