As one of the research hotspots, tactile sensor array gains popularity among researchers domestically and abroad for its application prosperity. In this thesis, a new tactile sensor array with conductive rubber and the sensor information acquisition and analysis system have been developed as the current researching status, the development trend, and the problems of tactile sensor being studied. The tactile sensor has the wide area matrix, high sensitivity, qualified flexibility, durability, adaptable resolution features, etc. Meanwhile, the correspondent information acquisition and analysis system is simply structured, low cost, and has high agility.The whole system is consist of tactile sensor array, PCI-6259 data acquisition card, SCB-68 connector, scanning circuit, signal acquisition circuit, signal procession circuit, shielded cable and pc. When outside force effects on tactile sensor array, resistance of the conductive rubber, which acts as the sense cell, reduces. The switch circuits are turned on and there follows the change of circuits'output, which indicates the outside effection.Arrays of sensor signals are acquired as follows: Sensor arrays are connected to the scanning circuit. Sections of arrays are selected through scanning, and voltage signals detected by each sense cell are in turn transmitted to signal condition circuits, and then PCI-6259 will acquire the conditioned signal to computers in a progressive scanning way.The data acquisition and analysis system has been developed by LabVIEW which makes the data acquisition card capable of acquiring analog signal and digital signal, at the same time sending out address control signals. Objects'contour and interface's stress distribution can be displayed in three dimensions with the OpenGL technology. Experiments have been done successfully in information acquisition and analysis.Researching and experimenting show the feasibility of the conductive rubber sensor array and its information acquisition and analysis system. The system can gain wide area tactile information accurately and thus provides a new method for tactile sensor array development.
