This paper has proposed and realized the DEP(Distance Education Platform) based on the MSB(Mini Software Bus).The MSB adopts the frame and the patterns of ACE (Adaptive Commuication Environment) on the bottom construction design,the system functions module is designed by the component. the ACE which has a good performance and strong interoperability ensure that the platform is stable and extendable.The platform may add constantly new components to meet the distance education evolving requirements.The MSB runs founded on data-driven, the components can communicate with others by the MSB, and achieve the business applications.The DEP function mainly involves three aspects: the teaching and the management, the long-distance teaching and the curriculum development and integration, these functions are carried out by the teaching sms component, the network classroom component, the email function component, the instant messaging component, the network fax component, the system announced component, the network telephone component and the client component.The MSB is constructed with ACE_TP_Reactor,ACE_Acceptor-Connector frameworks,half-synchronous and half-asynchronous modes, the Component technology interface is formed with ACE_Connector Framework.The technology interface of The components and the MSB is XML standards. The teaching SMS functional component is compose of the SMS device component, the database device components, the scheduler device components. The DEP test shows that the components can communicate and complete successfully system function by the MSB.
