At present, the trend of information marked by the popularity and application of the Internet has been popular in the world and this trend has rapidly changed human's production, living and way of thinking as well as people's mode of education and learning. from the trends of the world and China's distance educational development , distance education of computer network will become a dominant form of distance education. With the development of network technology and socialization and all-life of learning, learning through the network will become the trend of distance education. the development of computer network technology and digital signal processing technology promotes the development of distance education. the continuous development of information technology in education is used to promote educational reform to narrow the regional gap in education and build life-long education to implement quality education and innovative personnel training needs.In the" Action Plan for Invigorating Education" from 2003-2007 information technology of education as a priority project is presented clearly with objectives and requirements. In our country,information as a strategic choice is used to promote the modernization of education to realize the coordinated development of education and the leap-forward development, education, career development. Today, online education has become an important place for education.in the distance education system, the teacher's role is changed from the center of the original transmitters of knowledge to student learning mentors and facilitator while the Status of students is changed from passive recipients to active participants to masters of knowledge, rather than knowledge of a slave. The traditional distance education system, mainly considers the system itself as the center without taking into account the need and study habit of individual student so the students are asked to adapt to long-distance education system, which results in the difference of interaction and not obvious effect of learning and so on.This thesis studies the modern distance education system deeply and combines the teaching problems of "Introduction to Educational Technology" and makes adaptive design and development of distance education system in order to achieve optimum distance teaching.Different from traditional form of education, distance education achieves teaching object through developing learning products and the medium of transmission so as to create a relatively isolated pattern of teaching and learning generate a huge change in the educational process, educational methods and educational concepts.Modern distance education promotes individuality, self-adaptive learning and makes educational activities as an organic whole, so the various sectors of education are closely connt, while also taking into account the adaptive system problem.Therefore, "An Introduction to Educational Technology" distance education system is divided into user management system, teaching management systems, teacher-student communication system, the examination management system.My research focuses on the adaptive design of the system through these several subsystems of the design and development to make the system more practical.This thesis first studies the modern distance education and describes the definition characteristics and compoents of distance education system. it is Combined with "Introduction to Educational Technology" 's content to design and develop its distance education system. In the learning platform for the design and development, the student-centered theory is used . The course is divided into course-studying, teachers' Q & A, viewing the notice, job management, participating in the discussions, resources and downloads, self-test examination, personal information, exhibition of works . the students through the system can make online learning, and check outcomes. In the teacher-platform design and development, with the teacher as the director of student it is divided into course management, release notification, operations management, teaching Q & A, test management, auditing and other work areas,.Through these functions teachers can updated the contents timely to address the students in the learning process problems encountered, effective management of teaching.This thesis is based on the theory of modern education, the main use of ASP. NET, SQL Server database technology, multimedia technology and network technology.Finally, the thesis analyses "Introduction to Educational Technology" modern distance education system as a whole and put forward the problems and improvement goals.
