The Design And Implementation Of Speech Customization Service Based On MRCP On Independent Intelligent Peripheral

Following with the development of Value-add Service, CRBT (Color Ring Back Tone) service was coming up. Since 2003, it has been developed very quickly and popular with more and more users. Until the end of 2006, the subscriber number has break through 140 millions.However, for keeping the rapid increase of CRBT, the careers must to consider how to satisfy the current users and how to attract the new users. Based on the result coming from the market research, the most trouble the users have is the method how to subscribe the ring. Now, WEB and IVR are two main access methods for users to manage their rings. WEB has simple operation and powerful function, but if user could not access internet they could not do anything. IVR can be used any where and any time, but it's not easy to operate, and user must to select menu by menu. It is so boring to find out a ring in a few minutes. So, we need a more convenient method to subscribe the ring, and it can bring more benefit to CRBT service.Based on the consideration above, we decided to develop Speech Customization function. Speech Customization makes use of advanced ASR technology and can replace of the traditional DTMF IVR. The user could not only finish customization by saying the name of singer or song directly, but also could feel the wonderful ASR. This new function could stimulate the user's interesting for using CRBT and impulse the CRBT market with continuous and rapid development. This article firstly introduces some background knowledges about IIP and Speech Customization service. Then, the solution for Speech Customization function which is based on API (Application Procedure Interface) is introduced, but this solution has some defects, such as large workload, complicated network distribution, the limit of voice board, and etc. So, the solution based on MRCP (Media Resource Control Protocol) is put forward which can provide a uniform platform to most recognition engines and realize the function of Plug and Play. Finally, this article specifically introduces how to design and implement the service based on MRCP on the IIP (Independent Intelligent Peripheral).The contents of this article are as following.Firstly, some basic concepts of IIP, Speech Recognize Technology and Speech Customization are introduced.The second chapter analyzes and compares the two different methods for realizing the function of Speech Recognize based on which introduces the advantage of MRCP.The third chapter introduces the related concepts of MRCP.The forth chapter expatiate how to design and rebuild IIP for the function of Speech Recognize based on MRCP, including the design of physical architecture, system architecture and software architecture.In the fifth chapter, according the scheme introduced in the forth chapter, the detailed solution on Resource Node is introduces.At last chapter, we summarize some advice for next work.
